Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking multiple Experienced Flight Readiness Technician Inspectors (FRTI) (Level C) to join the Flight Line Quality Family in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable Shift!
As an FRTI supporting Boeing 787 Fleet, qualified candidates will verify and inspect routine final component installation, as well as, support system operational functional validation testing. Flight Readiness Technicians Inspectors verify and inspect rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, including, supporting troubleshooting pre and post-flight checks and verification of maintenance and modification actions for delivery of aircraft. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to aircraft safety and quality while working in a flight line environment around live aircraft.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs verification and inspection of flight component installation and operational functional testing of aircraft systems.
- Inspects and verifies troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and documents faulty components.
- Conducts inspection of pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs inspections of maintenance and modification prior to delivery.
- Supports documentation of identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
- Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection.
- Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance inspections in preparation for delivery.
- Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives.
- Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead.
- Inspects, documents, and creates non-conformance records with minimal assistance.
- Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):
- Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends.
- 3+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
- 3+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or auditing.
- 3+ years of flight line operations experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a team environment.
- 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant license or signed FAA Form 8610-2.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ years of 787 Program Experience.
- 3+ years of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk experience.
- 1+ years of Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience.
- Proficient in REDARS, PSDS, and BAC specifications.
- Proficient in all forms of NCR (Non-Conformance Record) and EPD (Emergent Process Document) generation (NC/NCR/RGEN/PU/SAT/SRR/PU or RGEN Revision etc.).
- 1+ years of experience working with Velocity and production applications.
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years’ related work, Bachelor, etc.).
