Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Experienced, Lead or Senior Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities - Experienced Level 3:

  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management.
  • Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.

Position Responsibilities - Lead Level 4:

  • Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
  • Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions.
  • Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
  • Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
  • Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.

Position Responsibilities – Senior Level 5:

  • Develops procurement and supply chain solutions, strategies and policies to support customer requirements.
  • Develops and executes company strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Consults on proposal analyses and development of negotiation strategies.
  • Formalizes procurement requirements with customers and leads the supplier negotiation process.
  • Prepares and executes negotiated documents.
  • Ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Manages contract terminations.
  • Develops organization and company improvement plans.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Three or more years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer, Supplier Program Manager, Supply Chain Management Analyst/Item Manager, or Supply Base Manager
  • Three or more years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • Three or more years of procurement experience in a defense and/or government environment
  • Three or more years of experience interacting with customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals
  • Three or more years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Three or more years of experience in SAP Procure to Pay or Accounts Payable
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Experienced Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Lead Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Senior Level 5: More than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Experienced Level 3: Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Lead Level 4: Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Senior Level 5: Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
