Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Experienced Non-Destructive Test Quality Test Specialist (Level 3) to join the NDT/NDI Quality Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on a Variable Shift!

Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment for inspection on composite and metal structures.
- Performs non-destructive tests and collects data for scheduled and emergent inspections.
- Documents, analyzes and communicates non-destructive test results and assists with corrective action recommendations to management and/or Engineering.
- Provides feedback on adverse inspection rends to Engineering.
- Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):
- Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 30 feet.
- 3+ years of NDI/NDT experience
- 3+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units.
- 3+ years of experience interpreting technical engineering requirements.
- Experience leading teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Current or prior NAS410 Certified Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing. Must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review.
- Current or prior NAS410 Certified Level 2 in Eddy Current Testing
- Must be capable of working in confined spaces and fit through a 10” x 18” opening
- Must be able to work from heights in excess of 125 feet
- Analyzing and interpreting Ultrasonic C-scans is an asset
- Digital radiography experience is an asset
- Experience inspecting composite material is an asset
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years’ related work experience, 5 years’ related work experience, etc.)
