Boeing Global Services is seeking a Mid -Level Support Equipment Technician to support the USN P-8 program. This is a position is located in NAS Whidbey Island, WA.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE: 63,750 - 86,250

Basic Qualifications (required skill/experience):

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
  • Ability to work all shifts of a 24/7 work schedule.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice. As much as 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (desired skills and experience):

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications.
  • General automotive servicing experience with an electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion engine background

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years’ related work, Bachelor, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Technician as needed in daily accomplishments and tasking
  • Maintains a limited number of systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components.
  • Troubleshoots problems to isolate faulty components.
  • Conducts routine functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment.
  • Performs a variety of visual inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents.
  • Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Maintains complex support equipment and systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components.
  • Troubleshoots problems to isolate faulty components.
  • Conducts complex functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment.
  • Performs a variety of inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents.
  • Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required.
  • Creates and maintains maintenance, calibration and inventory tracking systems.
  • Works with minimal direction.
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, employee must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation
  • Maintains a limited number of systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components.
  • Troubleshoots problems to isolate faulty components.
  • Conducts routine functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment.
  • Performs a variety of visual inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents.
  • Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required.
  • Works under general supervision.
    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
