THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a highly motivated and confident Functional Business Analyst to join our Data and analytics team.
You will help our clients and internal teams to identify business needs across the different business areas and transpose them to technological and data requirements in a structured and assertive way. Additionally, you will support project teams with deep business understanding and knowledge from the different sectors at hand. Finally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the definition of reports and dashboards aiming to support the daily decision-making of our clients.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS
- Knowledge of the best practices and market trends regarding data architectures;
- Identify and characterize data exploration initiatives;
- Ability to interpret business needs and convert them into functional data for implementation;
- Experience in defining data governance models and redefining Data Architectures;
- Strong autonomy, problem-solving, and communication skills;
- Experience in developing user stories (Agile);
- Requirements gathering and transposition to user stories (Agile);
- Process design;
- Experience in the energy sector is a plus.

Responsibilities:

- Ability to interpret the strategic objectives of an organization and transform them into information system objectives;
- Knowledge of best practices and market trends regarding data architectures;
- Identify and characterize data exploitation initiatives;
- Ability to interpret business needs and convert them into functionalities;
- Experience in working with change management at an organizational level;
- Strong autonomy, problem-solving and communication skills;
- Aptitude to bridge between the IT and Business environment linking both business and IT strategies and objectives;
- Ability to identify technological developments and evaluate impacts on the client’s business;
- A strategic-focused mindset;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to deliver multiple projects and to present information in a clear and concise manner;
- A strong work ethic;
- Forward thinker and self-starter;
- Creative, proactive, team player, and able to work under pressure;
- Business mindset and some commercial acumen.
TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE
- Academic education in Engineering, Informatics, or similar fields of study;
- 1+ years of professional experience in Consulting;
- 1+ year of professional experience in Data and technology-related projects as a Business Analyst;
- Systematization of functional requirements;
- Knowledge of agile methodology (design, presentation, and acceptance of user stories);
- Basic knowledge of process design (BPMN as reference);
- Professional Scrum Master and/or Professional Product Owner certifications;
- Flexibility in learning;
- Interest in process and system improvement;
- Full English Proficiency.
