Our ‘We-are-1’ culture fosters unconventional ideas, effective knowledge exchange and creative solutions. As part of our “Advanced Process Control” group, you help to control the production facilities in the best possible way. You use your knowledge and dynamic process simulations to support process development. By combining dynamic models with emulated process control systems, you build operator training simulators to train plant operators. With our ever-growing treasure trove of process data at your back, you use modern data analysis tools to optimize the plants.
In addition to our diverse benefits, for full-time employment, you can expect an attractive starting salary between €75,700/year and €91,600/year plus a variable component. The starting salary is based on your qualifications and professional experience.
Your tasks:
- You develop control concepts for Covestro’s production facilities, from basic control via advanced regulatory control to model predictive control, in close collaboration with production experts at all sites
- You develop, create, and maintain dynamic models and simulators for training plant operators
- Multivariate data analysis and soft sensoring are also part of your responsibilities
- In your new role, you ensure the sustainability of implemented control concepts and dynamic models of Operator Training Simulators by working closely with production units at all Covestro sites
What you bring:
- You have a university degree (Master’s) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or similar field with above-average GPA
- A PhD in Control Engineering or System Dynamics is advantageous
- Your profile shows theoretical and/or practical experience in control engineering
- You possess good communication skills and find it easy to convince people
- You have negotiation skills
- You also enjoy traveling and are available for international assignments
- You speak fluently English and German
