As an Expert People Care Center, you will be jointly responsible for all services provided by the internal People Care Center (PCC) at the Visp site and its further technical development. The PCC coordinates the return to work of employees following illness or accidents and acts as a point of contact in the event of difficulties and challenging life situations. The services range from specialist coaching for managers and employee counseling to longer-term integration processes. The PCC will coordinate the involvement of other specialist departments if necessary. You act largely independently as an expert.
They are committed to the continuous development of the PCC’s skills portfolio, ensure that the PCC works to the latest scientific standards and can act as a coach for all PCC employees for the introduction of complex case situations and for reflection on their role as specialists in the PCC (intervision, specialist coaching).

Key responsibilities:

  • Is responsible for the direct care of employees who have been ill or injured in collaboration with their line managers and HR BP and for ensuring rapid and lasting reintegration into the work process through case management, occupational integration management and attendance management services.
  • Is the point of contact for all employees with psychosocial challenges (work overload due to stress, excessive demands, bullying, sexual harassment, traumatizing events, personal and financial difficulties, family issues, addiction problems and associated issues).
  • Is responsible for the specialist coaching of managers in dealing with challenges in the area of physical and psychosocial issues, including in crisis situations with the involvement of external specialist units (144, PZO, etc.).
  • Conceptualizes, implements and further develops the services of the specialist unit with constant adaptation to operational conditions, in close cooperation with internal and external specialist units.
  • Co-responsible for ensuring professionalism and quality standards for all PCC employees, as well as ongoing review of biopsychosocial services in close cooperation with the company medical service.
  • Further development of best practices, promotion and innovation and new approaches in counseling.
  • Offers specific counseling or therapy approaches for employees and managers as a specialist.
  • Responsible for the professional support and coaching of the accompanying persons of the student flat share and support in crisis situations on evenings as well as accompanying young people until parents have arrived.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree/ tertiary level in the field of Social sciences and related professions.
  • Specialist further training in counseling therapy is preferred.
  • Must be business fluent in German & English.
  • Advanced no. of years of experience in the area of Specialist counseling center.
  • Advanced no. of years of experience in the area of Corporate social work.
  • Strong communication skills and experienced leader.
  • Resilience, solution-oriented, assertive and flexible personality with high social and self-competence, empathy and strong customer orientation.
  • High reflective capacity.
  • High demands on independent work.
  • Professional competence in the field of consulting and interest in continuing education in this area.
