Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Coordinator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the transportation of Air and Sea Freight , ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining strong relationships with clients, shipping Lines, Airlines and Customs. The candidate should be well versed with Export Documentation procedures (B13) and should have some experience in co ordinating with Shipping Lines and Airlines. The candidate should have strong communication skills and will have to respond to enquiries from overseas agents and local customers/ freight agents.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in freight coordination or a similar logistics role.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management principles.
  • Experience in sales management or inside sales is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable shipping rates.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage freight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Perform data entry tasks related to shipment details, tracking, and inventory management.
  • Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to optimize shipping costs.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support inside sales efforts and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation for compliance and reporting.
  • Utilize in house software for tracking shipments and managing logistics operations.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective account management.
  • Work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure seamless operations.
