We are seeking a Project Manager to support the development, governance and performance reporting of the new export performance framework.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a new and varied post within the UK Export Strategy Team in the Domestic and International Markets and Exports Directorate of DBT. We support UK businesses to either start exporting or further develop their exporting activities. We want to develop a new export framework to measure our performance. This will contain a clear set of metrics of our export operations globally, and a management and accountability mechanism. This has the aim of helping us understand and improve our services, so we help drive up exports.
The role of the Project Manager is to work on a varied selection of projects on a day-to-day basis ranging from planning and performance and from communications to capability.

You will be responsible for:

  • Project management: supporting the delivery the new exports performance framework, championing the use of best practice project management standards and processes.
  • Performance reporting: support the development and delivery of a new reporting process and business planning across DIME.
  • Governance: manage and coordinate appropriate governance for the project.
  • Stakeholder relations: ensure our internal stakeholders are at the forefront of our thinking at all times and actively brought alongside the work both in the UK and at Post.
  • Risk management: support the development of project processes and standards for managing risks and issues.
  • Team support: identify, develop and share best practice processes, tools and templates within the team and across exports.

We are looking for a proactive self-starter with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work on varied projects in quick succession.
