Description:

As an Export Sales Representative, you will develop and expand foodservice sales in the Caribbean Islands region for our Miami-based distributor. You will work closely with key stakeholders like our Warehouse Manager and VP based in Barbados to build relationships, source new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth. This hands-on sales role requires travel throughout the Caribbean to consult with customers, distributors, and vendors.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • with 5+ years of foodservice sales experience
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills with demonstrated success in a consultative sales environment
  • Expertise sourcing, negotiating deals, and managing key accounts in the foodservice distribution industry
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Caribbean region
  • Familiarity with the foodservice operations and landscape within Caribbean Islands like Jamaica, Bahamas, etc.
  • Experience leveraging CRM systems to track customer interactions and generate analytical reports
  • Adaptability and resourcefulness when dealing with diverse cultures, vendors, logistics partners
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Eligibility to work in the US without the need for sponsorship
  • Must be based in Miami

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an existing portfolio of foodservice customers in the Caribbean Islands and cultivate new sales leads
  • Deliver consultative sales presentations and negotiate contracts to increase order values
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to refine sales strategies and product offerings
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment, logistics, and customer service
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, forecasting, sales analytics in our CRM system
  • Provide weekly updates and sales reports to senior leadership on performance metrics and KPIs
  • Represent our brand at industry trade shows and conduct networking activities to expand our reach
  • Continuously research the regional foodservice landscape to uncover untapped growth opportunities
