JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Commercial Trade division with export-related tasks. This role entails managing administrative duties, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication regarding export processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes relationships with other departments (Sales/Trades/Bids/SVC/Intermodal) to
  • Checks and creates statistics for contract renewals/extensions, NVO licenses, surcharges, GRIs, and rate records.
  • Assists in processing AMN, renewal, and new SVC requests for Reefer and Dry non-Bid for BCO and NVO.
  • Conducts market research studies; Monitors competitors’ surcharges and announcements, blank sailings, routes and transit times, and competition capacity.
  • Maintains meticulous records and files pertaining to export rate agreements, surcharges, exception lists, trade maps, and other relevant documentation.
  • Evaluates tariff rates, conducts quarterly rate reviews, and ensures compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of announcements for new and/or existing surcharges and trade maps; Assist in collecting monthly import BRC, GFS, etc., and preparing announcements.
  • Update the monthly Export surcharge matrix and distribute to trade/customers.
  • Assist in maintaining exception lists for CUC, local charges, etc.
  • Maintains internal databases to verify customer financial status to approve in-house BL printing.
  • Rate checking / Disputes for non-bids, non-VIP accounts.
  • Manages routing guides, maintains uniformity across systems, updates PBI schedules, and monitors equipment availability against trade forecasts to optimize operations.
  • Assists customers and Trade with Quotes request.
  • Performs administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management.
  • Establishes relationships with other departments (Sales/Trades/Intermodal) to develop successful partnerships.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Performs other duties as required.
