OUR OPPORTUNITY
Work location: Opportunities across all Pilbara sites
Roster: 8 days on & 6 days off, FIFO ex Perth
Fortescue is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Field Technicians to join Fortescue’s Resource Definition teams!
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a similar role in open pit mining is highly regarded
- Manual C Class driver’s license
- Forklift license highly regarded
- Proactive, highly motivated and enthusiastic. Willing to take on new challenges, work in a physically demanding job and learn new skills.
- A team player with a ‘can do’ and collaborative attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and capable of building strong multi-departmental relationships
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- High attention to detail

Responsibilities:
- Conduct escorts in the AOZ.
- Work compliant with Fortescue standards and statutory obligations.
- Support resource definition Geologists and Earthworks in their work and complete tasks as requested.
- Investigate and correct reconciliations returned from the laboratories.
- Dispatch samples to the laboratory
- Fulfill performance objectives and KPI’s.
- Record sample bag numbers and enter correctly into the database
- Provide initiatives for process improvements to supervisor.
