Boeing Defense Services is seeking a F/A-18SLM Manufacturing Manager, to support our San Antonio business. The candidate will report to the FA-18 SLM Senior Operations Manager and will oversee a diverse team of ramp, hanger, and serviceability operations personnel. This position is to join the FA-18 Service Life Modification (SLM) team as we modify and upgrade the Navy’s warfighter for years to come.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience performing in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years of experience working with aircraft maintenance and/or modifications.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Experience & Skills):

  • Experience with the Navy and F/A-18
  • High communication skills.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience leading a diverse team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team upgrading and modifying FA-18s for the Service Life Extension Modification Program
  • Manage employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Acquire resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Promote an environment and culture that is safety and quality driven.
    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
