PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Luxoft’s client, a global commodity trader, are embarking on a significant risk application modernization programme, streamlining their architecture, remediating legacy infrastructure issues and providing a new scalable platform for business growth.
We are seeking an experienced Senior F# Developer with a strong background in commodities trading to join our dynamic team.
SKILLS
Must have
5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on F# and functional programming.
Proven experience in the commodities trading sector, with an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of trading systems.
Strong expertise in real-time data processing, algorithmic trading, and high-performance computing.
Deep understanding of financial instruments (e.g., futures, options, derivatives) and trading workflows.
Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Familiarity with risk management, pricing models, and quantitative analysis in a trading environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance optimization and scalability.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
Familiarity with risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements (Basel III, FRTB, etc.).
AWS Certification (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain F#-based applications for real-time commodities trading systems.
Collaborate with quantitative analysts, traders, and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into high-performance, scalable software solutions.
Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for trading, risk management, and analytics within the commodities trading domain.
Ensure the reliability and performance of the trading platform, including real-time data processing, risk calculations, and trade execution.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities.
Work with cross-functional teams, including DevOps and infrastructure engineers, to ensure smooth deployment and integration of systems.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring best practices in functional programming and system architecture are followed.
Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in F#, functional programming, and financial markets to continuously enhance system performance.
