POSITION SUMMARY

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has a great opportunity for a F404 Engineering Programs Manager. The successful incumbent will be the leadership and management of the F404 Engineering Department, Engineering Records, and all F404 Magellan personnel located at offsite CF facilities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace)
  • Three to five years F404 program experience
  • Professional Engineers Ontario registration desirable
  • A thorough understanding of the F404 engine and systems
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Exceptional written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide F404 Engineering Support to DND in the form of investigations, report preparation and consultation as well as discussing requirements and reviewing all reports submitted by others in the department.
  • Provide Support to Repair and Overhaul by discussing and analyzing actions to be implemented to improve effectiveness of Orenda’s R&O activity.
  • Provide miscellaneous support to other funded programs such as J85 and US Navy R&O.
  • Participate in all other activities of an overhead nature not directly related to DND’s programs, such as management meetings, budget preparations and support to non-funded programs.
  • Collect data from the operating bases for further analysis
