THE EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Expert in fabric sourcing and development, with a great overall knowledge of raw materials, fabric qualities, current costs and business performance standards.
- Strong Fabric knowledge across woven and jersey in production from spinning to bulk.
- Can drive results through people in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Degree in textile or similar type degree
- Has at least 7 years’ experience in a similar role
- Has Intermediate skills using Excel and Powerpoint
- Please note this is a hybrid role. You will be required to be in the Boden House head office 3 days per week. *

Responsibilities:
A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE
The Fabric Developer role at Boden drives new sourcing and development seasonally with the team as well as maintaining profitable and high-quality fabrics for the core and franchise product. Sustainability is at the forefront of the strategy using a strong and robust mill supply base who adhere to our Boden sustainability mission.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep abreast of new fabric trends and sustainability initiatives
- Implement initiatives which are approved by Buying and Head of Fabric based on sales and trends
- Fabric sourcing and development in line with the design brief
- Ensure communication of the provenance of all our fabrics is clear and appropriate
- Hold weekly meetings with Design, Buying and Garment Technology to co-ordinate sourcing, sampling and production fabric.
- Maintain the fabric library and PLM fabric library
- Compile fabric boards where required
- Order all sampling for development samples and cloth trails
- Manage and maintain the fabric archive on a regular basis
- Fabric test report information correlated and reviewed with manager
- Coordinate lab dips and developments
