Pay Rate: $100,000-$130,000 annually

Job Description:
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
- Collaborate with architect, engineers and customers to design structural elements for buildings and infrastructure projects
- Lead Engineering Team on all assigned work/projects, prioritize work and schedule to meet deliverable timelines
- Collaborate with other departments to oversee design implementation from manufacturing to assembly and installation, troubleshoot and resolve any issues, generate any necessary re-design as a result of problems discovered during manufacturing or installation and lead any follow-up work to successful resolution.
- Lead and create detailed design of structural components/projects utilizing software such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and MicroStation
- Perform structural integrity testing on design models for project to ensure design meets customers required specifications ensuring that all-loads and pressures caused by the environmental or human influence have been considered.
- Choose and/or recommend appropriate materials based on structural specifications and budgetary constraints for cost effectiveness
- Conduct site visits to assess existing structures, review site restrictions, and gather necessary data for design projects and oversee installation of project if required.
- Perform calculations using tools to ensure structural integrity and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
- Coordinate projects managers to ensure timely completion of design tasks.
- Review and modify designs based on feedback from clients, architects, and engineers and or shop floor manufacturing, assembly or installation issues.
- Complete all detailed design and production drawings for production to produce the product, including accurate Bill of Materials and complete comprehensive Engineering Master before work order is issued to the shop floor.
- Oversee the production of product to ensure quality and conformance with design
- Participate in SRED projects to produce new product concepts or continuous improvement projects.
- Oversee if needed production installation on site.
Assets
- Exceptional Proficiency in Solid works, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MicroStation, and V-Carve (CNC) other design software
- Should be familiar with Visual Manufacturing ERP or alternate
- Must be an expert in developing accurate Bills of Material related to Engineering Masters
- Leadership skills to effectively assign and manage team members and collaborate effective with cross-departmental teams and external parties to achieve outcomes by deadlines.
- Strong and extensive experience in structural design using industrial fabrics and metal frames, environmental stress modeling
- Certificate in Project Management is preferred
- 7 years of relevant experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of Project Management principles to effectively coordinate design tasks
- Excellent math skills for structural calculations
- Experience in Civil 3D is a plus
- Degree in Structural Engineering, a Master’s degree is a plus
