JOB SUMMARY

CLaD stands for Continuous Learning and Development, and our Hubs offer an updated curriculum co-designed by members of our MDT and social care professionals. The curriculum will include a series of targeted training, social skills development experiences, and extracurricular activities. CLaD hubs aim to enable skills development, social inclusion, greater independence, and opportunities for all.

JOB OBJECTIVES

We are seeking applications for the role of a Clad Hub Facilitator. The post holder will deliver Continuous Learning and Development to individuals who chose to attend our hubs.

This will include the following on a day-to-day basis:

  • Live our Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Manage, co-ordinate and oversee all aspects of the CLaD Hub, its training and curriculum programmes in line with Nua Healthcare ethos, values, policies, and practices, including budget, rostering, leading, and developing teams through best practice performance management systems and supports, implementation of relevant documentation outlining supports for Individuals, ensuring the service is delivered in compliance with relevant legislation and contractual requirements.
  • Facilitate &/or deliver all training/curriculum programmes, including literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, independent living skills, my health & well-being, creative art, social skills,etc.,
  • Oversea & supervise any projects specific to the CLaD Hubs, such as building, carpentry, upholstery, gardening & landscaping, maintenance, etc.,
  • Oversea & host any cultural national & international field excursions.
  • Promote good relations with neighbours, community resources and other agencies towards the promotion and development of services and community integration.
  • Promote & nurture person-centred planning using key worker systems and shared goal setting, always maintaining confidentiality.
  • Identify supports and work in partnership with the individual, their family and other supports as outlined within individual plans, promoting maximum opportunities for community involvement.
  • Organising necessary meetings and overseeing all communication between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Overall responsibility for safety and maintenance of assigned facilities to include CLaD Hubs, vehicles, and PPE for both Individuals and team members.
  • Management of rostering & payroll of the team assigned to the CLad Hubs, Specific responsibilities/tasks:
  • The role of the Facilitator assigned to any Mobile CLaD Hub within the service, will have responsibility for transporting of the Hub to locations across the country, as required, and facilitating supports including individuals from external organisations. Will have responsibility to facilitate and deliver all training/curriculum programmes, as well as responsibility for restoration project(s) based at the facility.

QUALIFICATION:

  • QQI Level 7 or above in Social Care / Education, or any relevant discipline.
  • Train the Trainer Certificate (FETAC level 5), desirable.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of social care or a health-related sector desirable but not essential.
  • Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005.
  • Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Safeguarding Policies & Related Procedures.
  • Mental Health Act 2001 & the Judgement Support Framework.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 – 3 years’ Experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of working with Individuals with an intellectual disability or Mental Health.

SKILLS:

  • Full Clean Irish Drivers Licence essential
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision & on their own initiative.
  • Self-driven with proven record of achievement.
  • The ability to adapt to new environments.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
