MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA MAHI | ABOUT THE ROLE
As Facilities Administrator at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology in Rotorua, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the institute’s physical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include assisting day-to-day facilities operations, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and collaborating with various departments to address facility-related needs.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $49,000 - $58,500, dependent on skills and experience.
The Facilities Administrator is based in our Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga, Mokoia campus Rotorua reporting to the Facilities Manager and will be responsible for:
- Maintenance coordination – schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, repairs and inspections for the institute’s facilities, including classrooms, offices and common areas
- Space planning – assist in the planning and allocation of physical spaces within the institute, collaborating with relevant departments to meet the evolving needs of the organisation
- Resource management – manage facility related resources, including furniture, equipment and supplies. Ensures proper inventory management and procurement as needed.
- Communication – serve as point of contact for facility related enquiries and issues. Communicate effectively with staff, faculty and students regarding facility updates, changes and guidelines.
- Record keeping – maintain accurate records of facility related activities, including maintenance schedules, work orders and service contracts.
