Job Summary
The Facilities Analyst will provide services to the 1st Marine Logistics Group (MLG) in managing its real property and facility-related issues. The applicant shall establish and maintain communication lines with MCI-West Public Works Department, Major Subordinate Elements (MSE) Facilities Chiefs, Officers In Charge, Marine Expeditionary Force G4 Facilities, and third-party agencies involved in facility planning, modification, demolition, or renovation. The applicant should possess a strong work ethic and able to show initiative to learn items related to any given task. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide a single point of contact that will assist in developing 1st MLGs facilities project plan
  • Main point of contact for MCI-West and the Public Works Department
  • Track all Work Orders/Service Requests throughout the MLG and MSEs
  • Track metrics on the completion of Emergency Maintenance, Urgent Maintenance, and Corrective Maintenance work requests
  • Facilitate the development of annual construction programs, including Military Construction, minor construction, and repair projects and track progress in various systems
  • Maintain situational awareness of construction program projects throughout duration of projects
  • Assist in developing Facilities Planning Documents
  • Analyze and evaluate project plans and designs for compliance with planning criteria and regulatory restrictions
  • Update and coordinate project schedules using Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Prepare point papers, reports, and supporting documentation (e.g., Facilities Studies, Environmental Assessments, Economic Analyses)
  • Maintain and update the Western Regional Installations and Infrastructure Investment Board slide briefs
  • Assist in the development, preparation, editing, collection, and dissemination of briefings, agendas, meeting minutes/summaries, reports, analyses, and presentations
  • Conduct research and reviews of topic areas to provide up-to-date information to stakeholders when needed
  • Develop and monitor program-specific performance metrics
  • Communicate with all leadership, subject matter experts and stakeholders to appropriately collect, address, and disseminate any pertinent correspondence and applicable information

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, at least 5 years experience in Department of Navy (DoN)-specific facilities management may be acceptable
  • At least 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related field, with a strong understanding of facilities planning, project management, and maintenance processes
  • Experience with demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale facilities projects, strategic planning, coordination with multiple stakeholders is required

Preferred Skills

  • Some knowledge of USMC facilities planning is preferred
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar
  • Proficiency in using facilities management software (e.g., MAXIMO, GEOFidelis)
  • Analytic and administrative experience with diverse stakeholders
  • Capture decisions made by Senior Leadership
  • Ability to engage subject matter experts to track progress
  • Coordinate with team members to complete tasks and address issues
  • Make recommendations in support of project objectives
  • Exceptional ability to maintain organized and accurate records
  • Wide-ranging experience analyzing, copyediting, and writing various briefs, client deliverables, funding proposals, presentations, reports, SOPs, and surveys, as well as analyzing and responding to policy and data
  • Proficient in Power BI or Tableau, CRM interfaces, Google Workspace
  • Ability to achieve an Active Public Trust with ability to obtain higher security clearance

Additional Notes

  • This position is on-site at a government installation, the candidate should be comfortable to undergo a background investigation
