Description:

We process over 700 million litres of milk a year and produce a wide range of dairy ingredients and products.
We’re looking for an experienced Facilities and Compliance Coordinator to join our team based at our Hokitika site reporting directly to the Facilities and Compliance Manager. This role is primarily responsible for leading the coordination and management of the Building Warrant Of Fitness (BWOF) procedures and to support Facilities and Compliance for both our Hokitika and Rolleston Sites.
You will also be responsible for:
- coordination and improvement work around facilities and infrastructure
- assisting in the development and implementation of Westland’s “Long Term Maintenance Plan”
- supervising contractors working on the Hokitika Site to support Facilities and Compliance works
- providing support to the maintenance and services teams with the Permit to Work procedures
- solution orientated continuous improvements to building infrastructures
- creation and amendments to procedure manuals
As such, we seek applications from individuals who ideally possess:
- Prior BWOF or building compliance experience in a large industry
- A trade background in Facilities or Carpentry (preferred)
- Basic project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to review work to ensure that work is completed to a high standard and meet deadlines
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a small team demonstrating energy, vision and initiative
- Proactive and able to identify issues relating to R&M and site services that need resolution
- Ability to manage time and prioritise and organise workload
- Good timekeeping, efficient work habits and good communication skills
- Full NZ drivers licence
- An understanding of food hygiene requirements / related work environments would also be beneficial
