The role will require you to embed and work to the college’s values; working with Integrity, having Ambition to help our learners succeed and being Inclusive to learners and colleagues alike.You are required to have a relevant Trade Qualification, IWFM Membership, Health and Safety Qualification , Project Management Qualification and Experience using Autocad or similar.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

As a Facilities and Projects Manager you will play a key role in shaping the direction of our college. You will be responsible for your area and implement innovative changes to improve the facilities and environment across the college. This is an excellent opportunity to have real impact in a college, which is moving at pace with strong support from its Senior Leadership team.

In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate and encourage a right first time culture.
  • Manage, maintain and improve the Oldham College Facilities, including the landscaping in order to make the College “the best place to learn and work”.
  • Build a suitable range of internal staff and external suppliers in order to ensure an excellent quality service while obtaining best value.
  • Develop and deliver project management plans, including new builds, refurbishments, retrofits etc to deadlines.
  • Consider, and build in, sustainability and decarbonisation into all activities / projects.
