Description:

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Public Works Department strives to improve the quality of life in Phoenix through the efficient delivery of outstanding solid waste, fleet, facilities, and energy management services.
The Public Works, Facilities Planning and Projects Division is seeking a Project Manager (PM) for the Facilities Asset Management Program (FAM) to support the Public Works Department and the Facilities Operations Division in providing services to other city departments. The position supervises others and reports to the Facilities Asset Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing the lifecycle of physical assets
  • Program and data management, leadership, and customer satisfaction.
  • Capital planning,
  • Asset inventory maintenance.
  • CMMS management and facility condition assessments.
  • Monitoring and evaluating process quality, workflow, asset replacement, and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Working with other city departments and outside contractors.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive asset management strategies for our facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four years of responsible experience in urban development, redevelopment, business assistance, capital improvement, design and/or construction projects at a level which required supervision or participation in the planning and programming processes.
  • AND Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, urban planning, architecture, engineering, construction management, economics, or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:

Experience with:

  • Software applications
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS).
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Sharepoint.
  • SAP Enterprise software.
  • Writing business reports, contracts, scopes of work, creating presentations, and delivering to management.
  • Managing service delivery to client departments.
  • Leading projects or initiatives.
  • Capital Planning.
  • Supervising staff and managing consultants.
  • Facilities management, facilities asset management and Capital Improvement Planning (CIP).
  • Data and document Quality Assurance (QA) and/or Quality Control (QC).
  • Development and enforcement of SOP’s.
