Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS
Our client is a leading Mechanical and Electrical Contractor within the Construction Industry and they are looking to hire a Facilities Engineer who will be responsible for improving the operational efficiency of the department.
Salary: NGN 250,000 - 270,000 Net
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision to a team of Electrical/Mechanical Technicians and ensure maintenance goals are achieved.
- Participate in inspections for prospective maintenance jobs and generate required reports.
- Participate in New Maintenance Sites take off and allocation of resources.
- Provide support in achieving maintenance appointments and management of the Mobile team’s calendar for optimum value.
- Ensure all maintenance and commissioning works are carried out to the highest quality standard, and on time.
- Carry out scheduled audits of maintenance sites and reporting.
- Prepare monthly reports on all corrective maintenance jobs done.
- Prepare methodical progress reports to the Facility Manager on New Installations and when required.
- Ensure all team members carry out their duties with the highest regard for the company’s HSE policy.
- Efficient and Effective tools & Material allocation, management, and accounting.
Ability to attend to out-of-state projects physically and remotely.
Job Requirement:
- Minimum of BSc degree/HND or its equivalent in Engineering.
- 3-5 years experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems for commercial and industrial-type buildings.
- Able to Monitor and deliver projects within stipulated timelines.
- Ability to solve problems on own initiative and effective project coordination.
- Good Working Knowledge of all relevant building services.
- 1-2 years of vocational training will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective Report writing skills.
- Proficiency in written & oral English.
- Must possess good team-playing skills.
