Description:
Governors Club is seeking a dedicated and reliable maintenance professional to join our team as the Facilities Maintenance Assistant.
The Facilities Maintenance Assistant will play an integral role in the daily care and upkeep of our award-winning property and is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, etc.). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. This is a full-time, nonexempt hourly position, reporting to the Director of Maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in facilities maintenance
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, painting
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Hotel property experience a plus
- Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Ability to push/lift 75 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
- Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
- Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures
- Working around and with lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints

Responsibilities:
- Maintain exterior and interior of property
- Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
- Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed
- Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed
- Repair, maintain/monitor equipment and amenities
- Change of all filters for HVAC as required
- Remove and properly dispose of all recyclable materials
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
