Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is needed to perform a variety of duties to help maintain our facility in safe operating conditions while working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment when they are discovered before they have a chance worsen including conduct regular inspections of the building.
- Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, addressing plumbing issues, furniture moves, patch & paint walls.
- Escort vendors around building.
- Ability respond to emergency maintenance requests while on-call.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months – 1 year facility maintenance experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Windows)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
- Must be able to pay close attention to detail.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office and/or a laboratory and /or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical equipment.
- May occasionally drive to other locations.
Physical Demands
- Frequent mobility required.
- May be stationary for 4-6 hours per day.
- Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands and wrists.
- Frequent crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting of upper body and neck.
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moving) objects with a maximum lift of 50 lbs. required frequency.
- Ability to use a variety of computer software.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand with the ability to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.
- May interact with others, relating and gathering sensitive information.
- Works with guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions from management. May require periods of intense concentration.
- Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress while multi-tasking.
