JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Facilities & Maintenance Reliability Engineer is responsible for providing expertise, support, and guidance in relation to F&M activities, including planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, and projects.
QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship - mechanical.
- Can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Can read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
- Experienced in leading teams and supervising others.
- Can balance varying workloads and priorities to meet business needs in a fast paced and diverse environment.
- Must be computer literate and have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have recent maintenance experience, shift lead or above, within an industrial environment.
- A comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with line management, prioritise daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
- Provide technical supervision, support, and guidance to F&M team.
- Supervise and audit contractors and suppliers.
- Planning, supervision, and execution of site facilities, maintenance, and project works.
- Plan, execute, and supervise plant and equipment relocation.
- Use and utilisation of site powered vehicles.
- Adhere to safe systems of work, e.g., LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures.
- Update existing LOTO procedures and create new procedures as required.
- Update existing planned maintenance procedures and create new procedures as required.
- Identify and arrange or provide on the job training and guidance for F&M staff and site apprentices.
- In conjunction with F&M office staff, identify parts and critical spares.
- Utilise and maintain records as required.
