Reporting to the Director of Sales & Store Operations, the Facilities Maintenance & Store Projects Lead will manage the day-to-day facilities and maintenance needs of Urban Barn’s chain of retail stores, as well as construction-related projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the Director of Store Operations to effectively manage a directory of key trade and service partners at a national or regional level to support regular facilities maintenance and ad hoc repairs for our stores.
  • Maintain and build working relationships with property managers, landlords, and general contractors.
  • Perform semi-annual store visits to validate that vendor service level agreements have been maintained, and proactively identify opportunities for improving mechanical functionality, building brand aesthetics, and health & safety compliance in all facilities.
  • Validate, repair and maintenance diagnoses performed by on-site technicians; analyze proposals to ensure costs and scope meet the needed repair.
  • Prioritize and support the completion of store modifications and renovations to ensure that health and safety, brand, and budget requirements are met.
  • Organize store projects from start to finish in collaboration with the President and Director of Sales & Store Operations.
  • Complete store projects to ensure that budgets, specifications, and timelines are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate store closures, moves, and openings with key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best prices and delivery schedules.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to store projects, tracking of costs, invoices and reports for budgets and capital requirements.
