Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for basic maintenance and repair of CCAOH facilities, including interior, exterior repairs, and vital systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical). This position is responsible for handling requested work orders received through our facilities help desk and respond to the general everyday needs of the facilities upkeep. This new hire will work a part of the facilities team and be responsible for performing or assisting in managing the performance of needed facilities maintenance at any agency location. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.
WORK/PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of facility maintenance experience, any professional licensures is a plus
- Extremely self-motivated and able to complete tasks
- Familiarity with CMMS work order systems
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Suit
- Valid state driver’s License and clean driving record
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual is a plus
- Excellent time management and task tracking skills
- The ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to maintain a professional relationship with people of different backgrounds, including coworkers, clients, vendors, etc.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Responsibilities:
- Drywall/plaster repair and painting
- Facilities work order monitoring and scheduling
- Changing lights and/or fixtures
- Plumbing repairs, replacements, and installation
- Carpentry repairs and installations with hand and power tools
- Minor repair of electrical devices
- Regularly conducts facilities safety and maintenance inspections, and schedules work order resolutions
- Stock supplies as needed
- Keeps track of all purchases, saves receipts to scan and submit to facilities admin
- Concrete and asphalt paving inspections and repairs
- Roof drain and/or storm drain clearing
- Grounds and security maintenance (doors, locks, fencing, broken windows, gates etc.)
- Assists in the management of third party vendors (i.e. landscaping, housekeeping, HVAC, etc…)
- Any other duties as assigned, including emergency response, etc.
