McKesson is seeking a dynamic and engaging leader for our role of Facilities Manager for our distribution center located in Clear Brook, VA. The Winchester DC is 430,000 sq. ft. and a team consisting of 200+ team members to support a high-volume, fast-paced business. This leader will be responsible for all property, utilities and building including repair and maintenance of the conveyor and automated systems, material handling equipment, safety systems, HVAC, etc., as well as leading a team of 11 technicians and 2 janitors.
Delivering top-notch service to our operation while also developing team members is a daily goal of this leadership role. Features within the DC such as conveyed carton, workflow management, and automated systems facilitate meeting those goals. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years facilities engineering experience and demonstrated team leadership skills
  • Battery powered material handling equipment
  • Motor Controls (specifically 3 phase / 480 motors)
  • Ability to read/comprehend schematics (drawings)
  • Basic electric background
  • Knowledge of Conventional Conveyors

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a maintenance environment
  • Supervisory experience
  • Lift Truck Operator Certification
  • Intelligrated Systems Automated conveyor maintenance experience
  • Motor Controls (MDR) Motorized Driven Rollers
  • HVAC experience a plus

EDUCATION

4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience
Minimum Requirements
5+ years facilities engineering experience and demonstrated leadership skills

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Solid knowledge of automated distribution and operations, oral communication skills, visual acuity, and manual dexterity, demonstrates leadership skills

EDUCATION

4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative operations such as scheduling and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
  • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
  • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
  • Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
