Responsibilities:

Job Purpose

  • Establish, lead and manage the planned preventative maintenance activities within Gibela within the Facilities scope viz. Site infrastructure incorporating Buildings, Site ancillary equipment, Supply Chain plant equipment, Site services.
  • Project management – future developments, construction works and facility improvements, environmental & energy-related projects.
  • Management and coordination of FM Service Provider technical team, Sub-contractors and Suppliers.
  • Facilities Management lead in ideating & advising on technical solutions/proposals.
  • Build a solid relation with internal customers / stakeholders, OEM Suppliers and external Service Providers

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day Facility Management of Dunnottar site, ensuring that activities are delivered within the required time, budget and quality constraints.
  • Ensure the optimum functioning of facilities equipment, infrastructure and allied plant.
  • Manage contractors and vendors relationships. Manage service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met and services delivered in a timeous manner.
  • Participate in the assessment and selection of suppliers and OEM’s for facility management, maintenance, new business awards and project management.
  • Ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by Legislation, OEM instructions, OHS Act and AZDP.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant Company procedures, policies and governance.
  • Provide engineering expertise (from a consultant basis) as and when required to problem solve and mitigate work stoppages and production delays.
  • Coordinate, design, engineer and implement effective project management as and when required.
  • Plan and effectively organise the Facilities & Infrastructure-related planned maintenance activities..
  • Ensure adequate resources are available on site and timely manage any unforeseen delays.
  • Oversee the implementation of the CMMS program for the Facilities & Infrastructure.
  • Ensure efficient recording on and analysis from the CMMS.
  • Supervise and support FM Team in achieving deliverables.
  • Ensure sustained performance of all critical equipment – continuous improvement, MTB
