MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the maintenance and management of the physical infrastructure of our buildings, nationally, to ensure they are well-maintained, clean, and visually appealing. Ensuring we provide a welcoming and comfortable workplace for our staff and visitors.
• Manage and coordinate group or location specific maintenance contracts for all external service providers including but not limited to: generators, UPS, water systems (clean & wastewater), lighting, cleaning, kitchen equipment
• Ensure functionality of access and egress control, security and accessibility, fire safety, emergency lighting, air-conditioning, car chargers and generators.
• First point of contact for location specific managers on all facilities, security and health & safety issues
• Perform routine low-level maintenance tasks independently to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.
• Oversee car park access management and ensure insurance cover is maintained.
• Provide a regular on-site presence in Marconi House and regional locations to ensure oversight, communication and provide a better understanding of local challenges to inform faster decision making
• Perform regular location specific floor walks to identify areas/items/equipment /materials in need of repair, replacement or upgrade.
• Develop and implement systems and procedures to support local managers, in regional stations to identify and report issues and that will allow for audit and monitoring across the group
• Liaise with Landlord or Landlord representatives as required on any relevant building and facility related issues
• Group Health & Safety Lead. Sit on the group Health & Safety Committee and take a lead role in developing and implementing Group Health & Safety policy and plans. Ensure compliance with fire safety, risk assessment, training, evacuation plans, and building security regulations.
• Project manage selected initiatives across the group and be involved in the delivery of ad hoc in-house Bauer events as they arise
• Liaise with and work with Group Operations Director and Head of Operations & Events to deliver on any refurbishment
• Act as the main point of contact for facilities emergencies
• On-going recording of data and information related to facilities to allow for accurate and timely reporting
