To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to come and join our team at our Ibstock Head Office, Leicester Road, Ibstock, LE67 6HS
Based at the Leicester Road (Ibstock) PLC headquarters which host all support services for the business across 5 separate buildings plus site catering. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the provision and maintenance of facilities across the site including compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
Beyond the extent of the built office environment the role extends to our wider estate looking after roadways, security, maintenance work and instructing grounds and boundary management over 400 acres locally along plus liaison with our manufacturing base locally.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote the highest Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment, reducing risk every day and being the custodian of Leadership in Action.
- Work with the Support Offices management teams to ensure development, promotion and implementation of Company and Team plans.
- Involvement in the design, implementation and management of capital improvement projects associated with facilities and site traffic.
- Work collaboratively across all Ibstock Brick support and manufacturing functions, by building effective working relationships.
- Ensure that all actions associated with site support facilities and safety concerns are completed in a timely manner.
- Prioritising work to match stakeholder requirements and ensure that all Contractors involved in site support facilities are managed to comply with Company policies and that they are suitably inducted and issued with any necessary Authorisations or Permits to Work.
- Management of all traffic related issues and ensuring control measures are effective. Conducting annual review of risk with key stake holders and creating an action plan with suitable timescales for any continuous improvement in travel planning.
- Management of the prevention and control of Legionella across the site. Effective recording, monitoring and record keeping.
- Management of statutory obligations associated with site support facilities. Ensuring any statutory inspections are completed on time and any defects raised are addressed within the stated timescale.
- Management of Portable Appliance Testing in all offices and site support facilities. Conducting the inspections at agreed intervals.
- Carry out site inspections of site support facilities as agreed with site management.
- Management of site security personnel and security contracts. Ensuring compliance of Ibstock Management of Contractors policy at all times.
- Management of the Fire Risk Assessment and Evacuation Plans for all site support facilities. Ensure annual review conducted with key stakeholders. Any agreed actions implemented within the agreed timescales.
- Organise and maintain up to date training for all First Aiders and Fire Marshalls in the site support facilities.
- Manage the storing and removal of waste for all site support facilities.
- Ensuring the Ibstock approved management system for Safety Health and Environment is updated for the above tasks. System to be updated weekly to ensure no safety concerns or actions are overdue.
- Be the “Point of Contact” for all internal and external Safety, Health & Environmental audits for the Support Offices.
KEY ROLE ATTRIBUTES
- Essential demonstrable experience in Facilities Management across office space, HGV/small vehicle traffic management and large landscaped commercial facility.
- Outstanding leader who will be capable of developing into an effective member of the site management team by working with energy, commitment, drive, adaptability, creativity, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
- The ability to analyse and interpret data to identify key trends and opportunities to improve site support facilities and logistics operations.
- Knowledge of current Health and Safety Law and best practice application of this within a facilities environment.
- Able to implement and drive performance improvement using a variety of Continuous Improvement tools & techniques.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills and the ability to build, motivate, develop and improve the team.
- Financially astute, able to interpret and work to budgets and cost control measures.
- Computer literate including proprietary management information systems and Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of Contractor Management.
