Description:
We are looking for an experienced facilities manager canidate to fill the role of facilities manager in our electrical team. The post holder will ensure electrical systems and equipment remain statutory compliant, provide technical advice and support for the engineering (M&E) maintenance staff and service providers of equipment and utility services.
The facilities manager will also need to Supervise/manage direct labour force, agency workers as may be required, specialists and sub-contractors and ensure Work Orders (Personal Digital Assistants - PDAs) are issued to operatives, and that operatives complete work in the time determined by the Contract, completing Risk Assessment beforehand and all details on the Work Order correctly before signing the Work Order off
The facilities manager will also monitor all work activity for quality, signing off completed Work Orders and returning Work Orders in good time to the help desk for closing off in the Facilities Management IT system.
- Ensure that the companies Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental policies and standards are always complied with. Actively promote a zero-accident culture. Achievement of compliance with relevant legislation, Health & Safety, Quality Assurance & Environment
- Provide advice to Mitie operatives and staff, senior managers, managers and those employed in delivering the work, and as required advise client and external agencies
- Ensure that training of staff is identified to senior management as required by the services required within the Contract, this including ensuring sufficient Authorised Persons, Responsible Persons and Competent Persons always to maintain the service in line with the contractual requirement, as well driving 100% compliance in company mandatory training, toolbox talks, risk assessments etc.
