Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The Facilities Manager oversees the security of our Berlin CCC and office, ensuring that all health and safety protocols are in place for staff. Although the role falls under Operations, the Facilities Manager works closely with the People and IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of the Bülowstraße site and maintain full compliance with health and safety regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead preventative maintenance programs for all office and CCC infrastructure (HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.), ensuring seamless operations and a proactive approach to unexpected issues.
  • Manage and enhance security systems, including surveillance, alarms, and access control, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all employees.
  • Act as the primary contact for security alerts and a dependable point of contact during emergencies, maintaining the highest level of safety standards.
  • Oversee daily site inspections to ensure operational consistency and address any potential concerns immediately.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, taking ownership of safety protocols and leading initiatives to create a healthy workplace environment.
  • Collaborate with external contractors, landlords, and service providers, ensuring efficient project execution, from repairs to larger infrastructure upgrades.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of essential operational supplies, ensuring the smooth running of daily activities at the Berlin CCC.
  • Partner with the People and IT Teams to support new hires, ensuring their workspace, technology, and onboarding materials are ready for their first day.
  • Champion cleanliness and organization at the Berlin CCC, setting high standards for hygiene and operational efficiency.
