Lead & inspire our facilities team to ensure they support the creation of this workplace.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Facilities & Workplace Manager to join our team at Kingfisher, based in our London, Paddington office. Your mission will be to create a great place to work where our colleagues feel a strong sense of belonging, while providing direction, leadership, and expert management of our workplace environment. You will ensure the vital service and support contracts are in place to maintain a safe, efficient, and cost-effective workplace for all colleagues and visitors. In this role, you will oversee building maintenance and operational health & safety for our two London offices in Paddington and Kensal Rise, while also leading and inspiring our facilities team to create a vibrant and inclusive work environment. You will incorporate sustainable practices to drive a greener workplace and foster a culture of inclusivity and wellbeing for our employees.
What’s the job?:
- Assess how to make best use of the space in the office to ensure it meets the future needs of the business enabling team collaboration & connections
- Lead and incorporate inclusive workplace practices and create an environment which enhances our employee wellbeing strategy
- Support key events happening at the Paddington office, including catering and office set-up
- Engage and partner with the London head office building management team, ensuring our KF colleague experience remains positive
- Oversee and agree contracts and providers relating to the maintenance of the London office. Manage contracts and oversee the service quality of our third party providers
- Oversee and lead the relevant facilities & maintenance budgets to ensure spend is in line with budgets
- Responsible for ensuring our facilities meet government regulations, health and security standards and energy efficiency requirements
What you’ll bring:
- Significant experience as a Facilities Manager, with a strong customer service focus and a passion for creating a great place to work for all colleagues
- Experience in leading a facilities team, handling complex operational issues & working with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
- Data and insight driven – highlighting where we have opportunities to improve our colleague and visitor experience
- Experience in managing multiple deliverables and skilled in prioritisation to ensure a great colleague experience within the office
- Previous experience in leading a large facilities budget and the associated contracts, while identifying cost savings/avoidance
- Operational Health & Safety experience – encouraging a safety first mindset across the office location
- Experience of workplace ergonomics/DSE assessments
