Description:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Shift schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:00am- 4:00pm (Occasional Saturdays.). Hours may vary based on business needs.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and in damp wet conditions.
  • Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Physical requirements: bending, kneeling, reaching, standing for extended periods of time, climbing ladders, lifting and carrying boxes, tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess and maintain a valid and current certificate at all times as a 4th Class Stationary engineer and refrigeration “B” Operator license.
  • HVAC/Refrigeration experience
  • A technical diploma/ticket is preferred.
  • A valid Ontario class G driver’s license
  • Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations and able to work the hours necessary to ensure the effective operation of the plant.
  • Welding experience is an asset.
  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Class 4 Stationary Engineer Certificate
  • 3 - 5 years: Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities:

  • Perform building maintenance duties, including painting, minor plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance.
  • Repair of faulty equipment and damaged structures.
  • Preventative maintenance procedure.
  • Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies.
  • Inspection of building, equipment, and systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications of facilities.
  • Periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is compliant and up to standards.
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocols.
  • Repair mechanical systems to ensure they are compliant with health and safety regulations.
