Description:
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Shift schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:00am- 4:00pm (Occasional Saturdays.). Hours may vary based on business needs.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and in damp wet conditions.
- Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
- Physical requirements: bending, kneeling, reaching, standing for extended periods of time, climbing ladders, lifting and carrying boxes, tools and equipment.
- Ability to work at heights.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess and maintain a valid and current certificate at all times as a 4th Class Stationary engineer and refrigeration “B” Operator license.
- HVAC/Refrigeration experience
- A technical diploma/ticket is preferred.
- A valid Ontario class G driver’s license
- Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations and able to work the hours necessary to ensure the effective operation of the plant.
- Welding experience is an asset.
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform building maintenance duties, including painting, minor plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance.
- Repair of faulty equipment and damaged structures.
- Preventative maintenance procedure.
- Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies.
- Inspection of building, equipment, and systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications of facilities.
- Periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is compliant and up to standards.
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocols.
- Repair mechanical systems to ensure they are compliant with health and safety regulations.
