Facilities Manager – Soft Services
Location: West Lothian - Livingston
Salary: up to £35,000
Job Type: Permanent, Full time, 40 hrs per week, Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

About the role:

As a Facilities Manager within our soft services team you will ensure that the soft services provided to the client meets the contract specification and is managed in a compliant and safe manner. The role would see you:

  • Manage resources to ensure the soft services element of the contract is delivered in line with contract specifications.
  • Monitor, evaluate and control the performance of all internal labour and resources to provide effective and compliant delivery of the Soft services.
  • Monitor, evaluate and control the use of suppliers in the effective and compliant delivery of the Soft Services.
  • Ensure that all contractual and service level requirements are achieved for relevant service offerings.
  • Assist in the broader operational management of the service contract delivery, including contributing to the planning and development of the service.
  • Organise/Coordinate and assist with the compiling and production of various reports including Monthly client reports and various other specific projects.
  • Attend informal and formal meetings and training sessions to ensure up to date business and job knowledge, communication, skills & progression are maintained. This includes but is not limited to training, re-training, toolbox talks, 1:1’s, probation reviews etc.

Role Criteria:

  • UK Driving License – due to travel between schools.
  • Strong Health & Safety & COSHH knowledge
  • Demonstrate experience of working in a similar role within a Soft FM contract across multiple sites, Managing and leading a team
  • Flexibility and reliable individual to work overtime or extra hour’s where the business requires
  • Hold a BICS qualification
  • Having an IOSHH Qualification is not essential but highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of external cleaning developments and innovations is not essential but preferable
