Based in Watford & reporting to The Manager of Workplace Services (WPS) The Facilities Manager will lead the planning, implementation and delivery of all hard services and related activities, including all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. You will manage the preparation of contracts for third party service partners for PPM, FM contracts as required throughout the UK portfolio as well as managing the annual operating budgets. As a member of the European Workplace Service (WPS) management team, you will also lead on a variety of WPS projects in line with the WPS Capex Program and functional Goals & Priorities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Management responsibilities for the delivery of Facilities Management services to a high standard. Identifying opportunities that will continuously improve all aspects of WPS and Facilities operations.
  • Manage and work with Energy Management & Environmental/Sustainability initiatives as required
  • Ensure service providers are managing records maintained for buildings (site logbooks) to demonstrate full operational procedures are followed.
  • Manage project activities and reports project status to ensure that assigned projects are completed on time, within approved budget, and provides desired business value
  • Management and planning of site audits for Policy and Compliance to agreed standards, including liaison with internal/external auditors.
  • Ensure Life Safety Systems compliance, Fire Fighting Equipment and Detection Systems
  • Using your technical experience, ensure compliance with M&E maintenance requirements i.e., Periodic Fixed Wire Inspections, Water Management, F-Gas and Environmental, Insurance Engineering Inspections etc.
  • Using your technical experience, ensure Lifting/Access equipment and passenger lifts are compliant, records
