ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have experience forming good working relationships with a range of people, e.g., academic and administrative staff, students, immediate colleagues, suppliers, contractors, and UCL central support staff. We are also looking for people who can work independently, prioritise workload, and take a hands-on approach. You will have up-to-date knowledge of fire safety and health and safety regulations. You will have good IT skills across a range of programmes. We are looking for someone willing to develop their skills in facilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Bartlett School of Architecture is seeking to appoint a full-time Facilities Officer based in the Wicklow Street building on a 1 FTE.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations within the 77 Wicklow Street premises. The post holder will undertake a wide range of tasks and will be expected to work independently under the supervision and line management of the Bartlett School of Architecture (BSA) Facilities, Buildings and Safety Manager. The post holder will be responsible for supporting staff and students on a variety of operational matters, such as studio management, room-bookings, telecommunication, postal deliveries and waste management. The post holder will be expected to liaise with UCL Estates in order to coordinate maintenance issues and requests, cleaning and waste requirements and arranging ad-hoc cleaning and security services outside of routine schedules.
