About the role
We’re seeking a Facilities Officer (VIC) on a 12-month fixed term, to coordinate a range of maintenance, compliance and administration activities across a busy multisite environment to ensure all buildings are secure, comfortable, environmentally friendly, and safe.

Day-to-day, you will:
- Act as the first point of contact for Transurban staff, visitor or guest who may require facilities assistance through the facilities helpdesk
- Conduct workplace inspections across the portfolio ensuring a high standard of presentation, cleanliness, safety and security
- Manage and track maintenance requests, ensuring contractors complete tasks and process all paperwork according to Transurban Policy.
- Proactively support management of the emergency management framework, maintain physical security systems, and act as deputy chief warden when required
- Maintain accurate service records, asset registers, supplier records, and compliance documentation to meet audit requirements
- Support the Facilities Lead with the Emergency Planning Committee, ensuring all emergency management tools, records, training, and documentation are up-to-date and accessible
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Proven experience in facilities administration, building services or maintenance coordination
- Strong safety awareness, with the ability to identify and escalate hazards or incidents
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and compliance
- Confident communicator and collaborator, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals
- Proficient computer skills – Excel and other MS products
- Must have a valid Victorian drivers license (travel between sites as required)
