Description:
FACILITIES SITE PROJECT MANAGER
Avantor is looking for a Facilities Site Project Manager to join our team at the Hichrom site in Theale, Reading. This role involves working in a scientific production environment, ensuring the site meets statutory inspection requirements, and managing essential site services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant degree or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- Understanding of CDM.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Passion for driving change and continual improvements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES:
- Experience with lean principles/initiatives and/or six sigma qualification.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, Office 365, and SAP (training provided).
- Awareness of COSHH, PUWER, TABRA, and Dynamic Risk Assessments.
- Good understanding of chemical safety, storage, and segregation.
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is advantageous.
- Strong communication, numerical, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage incidents and collaborate with EHS teams.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong commitment to quality standards and procedures.
- Project management experience desirable.
