Facilities Technician

at  Mayflower Theatre

We are the largest independent theatre in the south of the UK, presenting a wide range of performances including large scale musicals, opera and dance.
We are looking to recruit a full time Facilities Technician to provide general facilities and maintenance cover for Mayflower, both in the Theatre and our modern offices. Works can be reactive, proactive or planned and duties can vary day to day.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated, be able to work on their own initiative, to prioritise workloads and respond to emergencies when called upon. For this position previous relevant experience within a similar setting is desirable.

· Maintaining, replacing and renewing the fixtures & fittings of the Theatre
· Completing general maintenance issues
· Repairing damaged facilities and equipment
· Painting and decorating
· Carrying out safety checks (fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and legionella)
