Description:

Position Summary: Repair, install, adjust, or maintain machinery and the building or grounds as required. To keep the equipment and the facilities in compliance with regulations, certification specifications, and looking like a state of the art facility, all with minimal down time to meet production goals.
Available Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm (overtime on Fridays may be required)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities to ensure the quality and safety of our products will include, but not be limited to:

  • Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations for the work to be done.
  • Measure, mark or record shapes or sizes using a tape measure or other devices of measurement.
  • Operate hand tools and various standard power tools.
  • Maintain operating condition of building machines and grounds.
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning equipment components.
  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
  • Request or order materials or parts as needed.
  • Reports to work regularly and on time.
  • Perform duties safely and to report unsafe conditions or actions.
  • Assists in other duties as needed and directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and/or Experience – Prefer 2 years of general maintenance experience
  • Language Skills – Must be able to read and comprehend detailed instructions, effectively communicate concepts in conversation in English

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Should have basic knowledge of building and construction for minor repairs, mechanical knowledge of tools, their uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Should have working knowledge of mathematics and their applications.
  • Should be skilled in building maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and critical thinking.
  • Should have problem solving skills.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and/or move 100 lbs. or more.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, crouch, crawl, or stoop.
  • Must have arm-hand steadiness, manual and finger dexterity, control precision, multi-limb coordination, and reaction time.
  • Specific sensing abilities required by this job include near vision and hearing sensitivity.

Work Environment: characteristic of an FDA regulated manufacturing facility, and maintenance shops. Personal Protective equipment may be required in certain situations. The employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, noise, and is frequently exposed to airborne particles. Completion of duties must be done within an allotted time which may create a sense of time pressure to meet deadlines.
