Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) was Australia’s first dedicated paediatric research facility and is now one of the world’s most highly regarded independent medical research organisations. Our research focuses on the four key areas impacting children’s health: cancer, genomics and genetic diseases, neurobiology, and embryology.
WORK WITH A TEAM OF DEDICATED PROFESSIONALS
We are looking for a Facility Officer to join our team to:
- Building Compliance and Maintenance:
- Assist the Facility Engineer with maintaining building compliance requirements/permits/ approvals
- Proactively and reactively carry out minor repairs, maintenance and cleaning to the building where you have relevant experience, have carried out a risk assessment, have a Standard Operating Procedure to follow, and have completed all requisite training
- Coordinate contractors who carry out maintenance of building infrastructure, plant and systems
- Assist the Facility Engineer to implement proactive maintenance schedules
- Contribute to the institute Building Facilities service desk, carrying out tasks and/or tasking of jobs to contractors where appropriate
- Contribute to continual improvement initiatives for works and asset management systems

WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE?
- Trade qualification in electrical or heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) services
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working on building services infrastructure
- Experience working with a building management system (BMS)
- Uses tools like Excel to update/record information within maintenance schedules and plans
- Uses tools like Word to write scopes of work
