Description:

FACILITY SERVICES AND MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR

This position a part time position Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. It extends to all
Intertidal Services facilities and programs.
Position Responsibilities
General Maintenance
- Purchase and maintain any tools/items required to complete work (keep at the office);
- Plan and coordinate installations, repairs and maintenance throughout the work week.
- Provide Executive Management ongoing updates to maintenance, repairs and hazards at
residences/programs.
- Ability to complete general maintenance request(s) such a drywalling, painting, installations
of keyless entry pads, locks, fixing toilets, repairing damage to a structure.
- Ability to understand scope of work and when to call an external company
- Organize and communicate with external companies
- Communicate with landlord(s)
Health and Safety
- Complete Monthly Facility Hazard Assessment to assess maintenance needs
- Inspect health and safety condition of all programs to determine repair and maintenance
needs.
- Check functions of all safety systems, such as:
o Coordinate change of program door codes
o Ensure fire distinguisher preparedness by charging on annual basis;
o Review furnace filters on quarterly basis as well as schedule and conduct furnace
inspections via ATCO gas;
- Required to sign off on all Individual Proactive Safety Management and Evaluation (PSME)
prior to conducting maintenance or repairs;
- Adhere to Intertidal Services Inc. Policies and Procedures and Occupational Health and Safety
standards;
- Ensure cleanliness of work site and secure management of all equipment in the vicinity of
Individuals;
- Attend Joint Occupational Health and Safety (JOHSC) meetings.
Development of Community Partnerships
- Bridging community with external companies/partners to create relationships with other
needed services.
Execute Billing/ Invoicing
- Track all work orders and produce an invoice per work order and submit to Senior Program
Manager and Finance ManagerMentorship & Leadership
- Supervise and provide guidance and mentorship to any Supported Individuals who are
working on maintenance projects
Travelling
- Travel to sites within the community, as required to complete repairs and retrieve
Qualifications
This person employed in this position will possess general skills and knowledge around general
repairs in a residential setting (patching walls, painting, changing lights, minor plumbing issues,
door jams and door repairs and minor electrical repairs).
Valid Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Clear police and vulnerable sector(s) check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
