SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in the Waste Management Division or comparable industry experience in waste management, or demonstrated competency
- Technical Diploma or Degree in a Science, Engineering or an Environmental related discipline, or demonstrated competency
- Advanced comprehension and ability to implement workplace health and safety requirements relevant to the assigned work site
- Working knowledge of the environmental and oil and gas industry, and other industrial sectors in the surrounding area
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements for the facility, ensuring compliance with permit conditions, waste characterization, classification, container standards, segregation, storage limits, and transportation of dangerous goods.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to persevere through challenging conditions.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
- Basic knowledge of accounting practices is an asset.
