Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED certificate plus five (5) years of experience in providing facilities and maintenance support a building or building complex.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
The incumbent must be licensed to operate a DC Courts’ vehicle.
Please note that authorization for the release of your adult criminal record revealing any convictions and forfeitures, and any criminal cases currently pending before the courts is required. If you are selected for the position, a criminal history records check will be conducted.

Responsibilities:
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Solicits quotations from contractors and ensures scheduled projects are funded, contracted, and executed per the requirements of the DC Courts Procurement guidelines.
- Assists in managing various designated vendor contracts (i.e. monitoring work, invoicing, tracking financial transactions, etc.).
- Provides support in developing standards and procedures in accordance with building codes and applicable laws, and by reviewing existing procedures, codes, and laws for purposes of contract management.
- Assists with the development of statements of work.
- Assists the Facilities Project Manager and Chief Building Engineer in preparing the annual maintenance budget.
- Performs daily facility safety rounds (walks) to identify safety issues that may affect the traveling public.
- Documents any issues identified in the Computerized Maintenance Management System and coordinates with the Program Support Specialist on the eventual correction.
- Monitors the progress of designated vendor work, makes day-to-day adjustments as needed, and confirms the work sequence, procedures, methods, documentation, and deadlines have been met.
- Enters invoices, requisitions, and billing information into the Courts Oracle financial system.
