in psychiatric nursing and working with vulnerable populations. The position is situated at the
Fredericton campus and involves a combination of remote and in-person classroom, clinical

of advanced technologies in teaching and clinical practice is an asset.
Faculty Background: Founded in 1785, UNB is one of the oldest public universities in North
America which stands on the unsurrendered and unceded traditional Wolastoqey land. The
Faculty of Nursing has a long-standing history offering nursing education in New Brunswick
with its first undergraduate degree program being launched in 1958 and graduate degree

Moncton site, and offers a collaborative program with national and international partners. In
partnership with the Horizon Health Network, we have an innovative primary health care
clinic, the Fredericton Downtown Community Health Centre, which is a site for experiential

Across these locations, the Faculty of Nursing offers a range of pathways toward earning
Bachelor and Master of Nursing degrees that include options for individuals entering directly
from high school, with university degree credits or a university degree, or with a practical nurse
diploma. Undergraduate offerings include a 4-year in-person program (Fredericton), a 2-year
in-person accelerated program (Moncton), and a Licensed Practical Nurse to Bachelor of
Nursing (LPN-BN) pathway offered in-person and via remote delivery (Learn Where You Live).
The Faculty of Nursing also offers a dual degree program with the Manipal Academy of Higher
Education College of Nursing in India. Graduate program offerings include a Master of
Nursing Thesis/Report or Master of Nursing Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
The Bachelor of Nursing program is accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of
Nursing and is approved by the Nurses Association of New Brunswick. Across our
undergraduate and graduate programs, curricula are based on principles of primary health
care, caring, and social justice and are designed to support students in meeting core
program abilities as well as entry level competencies and standards of practice.
Role Qualifications & Expectations: The successful candidate must hold an earned Master’s
in Nursing. A doctorate in nursing or related field is an asset. The successful candidate will be
involved with both remote and in-person teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate
programs; travel may be required to support teaching and learning at other sites. A
demonstrated ability to teach effectively in-person and via virtual platforms is expected.
Given that all programming is delivered in English, strong proficiency in the English language
(spoken and written) is required. Service within the university and the community is expected
and the successful applicant will actively participate in governance and decision-making
within the Faculty of Nursing.

New Brunswick (NANB) and be registered prior to beginning this appointment. International
applications should include evidence of the NANB registration process.
This position will begin July 1, 2025, dependent on the availability of a successful applicant,
