SAI is committed to safeguarding Children and our staff are trained in child safeguarding.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualifications: A third-level qualification in Social Care, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Community Care, Nursing, or a closely related field, or substantial experience in a similar role.
  • Child Safeguarding Training: Certification or training in child safeguarding and protection is essential for example Children’s first training
  • Experience: Previous experience in child welfare, family support, or supervised access services is highly desirable.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse clients and cultural backgrounds.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of clients and the organization
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: €16.50-€23.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating supervised visits, adhering to strict child safeguarding protocols and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. As a Family Access Worker, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including private individuals, court-referred families, and international clients, providing compassionate support and guidance throughout the visitation process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct Supervised Visits:
  • Facilitate supervised visits in accordance with court orders, legal agreements, and individual family needs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during visits, maintaining a child-focused approach at all times.
  • Implement Child Safeguarding Measures:
  • Implement rigorous child safeguarding measures to protect children from harm or abuse, including thorough screening of visitation environments and continuous monitoring of interactions.
  • Maintain Confidentiality and Professionalism:
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Respect the privacy and dignity of families served, maintaining discretion and sensitivity to their unique circumstances.
  • Document and Report:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of supervised visits, documenting observations, incidents, and any relevant information.
  • Report any concerns or incidents promptly and follow appropriate reporting procedures in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders:
  • Collaborate with courts, legal professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders involved in the family’s case to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Provide input and feedback on visitation arrangements, advocating for the best interests of the children and families served.
